The Darkness are a glam metal/heavy power pop band from the UK that formed in 2000. Although recently created, the group’s sound is certainly a throwback to classic hair metal bands of the 80’s. With the release of the hit single ‘I Believe in a Thing Called Love’, the band was instantly shot into stardom. Having only a short run, multiple members left the band by 2006. New members consequently were added and in 2011 the band re-emerged, putting out new material and playing live shows.
